mobility funding

The mobility fund offers grants in order to encourage the mobility of young artists and foster their professional integration. It gives financial support to member institutions that hire an artist from another member institution for one of its non-enoa project. 

Only artists who are part of the network are eligible for such funding.

 

Malgorzata Panko – mezzo-soprano

Malgorzata Panko was hired by the Latvian National Opera for the role of Charlotte in Jules Massenet’s opera Werther upon the recommendation of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera

Lin Shi - mezzo-soprano

 Lin Shi, recommended by the Bayerische Theaterakademie of Munich, was in Aix in 2012 to sing on Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera.

Allan Clayton - tenor

 Allan Clayton, recommended by Aldeburgh Music, sang in the worldwide Première Written on skin, by George Benjamin.

Kevin Skelton - tenor

 Kevin Skelton, recommended by the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, performed in De Blinden, world première by Daan Janssens, produced by LOD music theatre, Belgium.

Elena Marcelli - stage director

Elena Marcelli, recommended by the Verona Opera Academy, was in Aix as a stage direction intern on L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, Ravel.

Andrea LaCagnina - set designer

Andra LaCagnina, recommended by Verona Opera Academy, was in Aix as a set designer intern on Written on skin, George Benjamin.

Agata Schmidt - mezzo-soprano

Agata Schmidt, recommended by the Teatr Wielki – PNO, was hired by Aldeburgh Music on Boys of summer, a voice piano trio by Vasco Mendonça 

Federica Pianegonda – set and costume designer 

 Federica Pianegonda was recommended by the Verona Opera Academy and was in Aix as a set and costume designer intern on Rigoletto, Verdi

Eva Collura – stage director

 Eva Collura was recommended by the Verona Opera Academy and was in Aix as a stage direction intern on Rigoletto, Verdi

Job Tomé - baritone

Job Tomé was hired by the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel on the recommendation of the Festival d’Aix for the 2013 edition of the Musicales de Beloeil, Belgium.

Tomasz Kumiega - baritone

On the recommendation of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera and after Tomasz Kumiega was selected as HSBC Laureate of the Festival d’Aix’ Académie, he went on tour for two concerts in the network: Warsaw (Teatr Wielki – PNO) and Munich (Bayerische Theaterakademie).

Christine Hucke - stage director

Christine Hucke was recommended by the Verona Opera Academy and was assistant to the stage director in Il Turco in Italia (Rossini) at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Andjiela Bizimoska - stage director

Andjiela Bizimoska was recommended by the Verona Opera Academy and was assistant to the stage director in Il Turco in Italia (Rossini) at Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Lorenzo Russo - set designer

Lorenzo Russo was recommended by the Verona Opera Academy and was assistant to the set designer in Ariodante, (Handel) at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Florencia Bley - make-up artist

Florencia Bley, recommended by the Bayerische Theaterakademie was hired as a make-up artist in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Krzysztof Baczyk – bass

Krzysztof Baczyk was hired by the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence to sing the roles of Erster Priester / Zweiter Geharnischter in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) upon the recommendation of Teatr Wielki – PNO

Lucia Gambarini - make-up artist

Lucia Gambarini, recommended by the Bayerische Theaterakademie was hired as a make-up artist in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

Julien Fišera - stage director

Julien Fisera was recommended by the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence to the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel that hired him for a semi-staged concert presented in March 2014.

Daan Janssens - composer

Daan Janssens, recommended by LOD music theatre, received a commission by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation for a new piece for voice and orchestra that was premiered in May 2014.

Aurélie Franck - mezzo-soprano

Aurélie Franck was hired by the Dutch National Opera for Claude Vivier’s Kopernikus upon the recommendation of  the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music

Jon Stainsby - baritone

Jon Stainsby was hired by the Dutch National Opera for Claude Vivier’s Kopernikus upon the recommendation of  Aldeburgh Music

Jamie Man - conductor and composer

Jamie Man was hired  by the Dutch National Opera and was assistant to the conductor for Claude Vivier’s Kopernikus upon the recommendation of  Aldeburgh Music. She was also invited to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in 2015 and participated in Iolanta-Perséphone (Tchaikovsky / Stravinsky). 

Francine Vis (mezzo-soprano), Els Mondelaers (mezzo-soprano), Ekaterina Levental (mezzo-soprano), Fanny Alofs (mezzo-soprano)

Francine Vis, Els Mondelaers, Ekaterina Levental and Fanny Alofs were hired by LOD music theatre for Dominque Pauwels’s MCBTH upon the recommendation of Silbersee

Nathalie Gendrot - stage director

Nathalie Gendrot was recommended by the Verona Opera Academy to the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel that hired her for a semi-staged concert presented in December 2015.

Caterina Veronesi - make-up artist

Caterina Veronesi was recommended by the Verona Opera Academy for an internship at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence 2015  in Iolanta/Perséphone (Tchaikovsky / Stravinsky).

Angela Giulia Toso (costume designer), Miriam Waldenspuhl (make-up artist)

Angela Giulia Toso and Miriam Waldenspuhl were invited by the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in 2015 to participate in Svadba by Ana Sokolović upon the recommendation of the Verona Opera Academy and the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding.
