Workshop on Berlioz’s “Les nuits d’été”

A rare opportunity for a quartet of singers to work with Ann Murray and Christian Zacharias on a performance with orchestra of Berlioz’s original version of Les nuits d’été, which was scored for soprano/mezzo, contralto, tenor and baritone voices. There will be a high-profile concert with orchestra of this work on 20 April.
Singers in all voices and repetiteurs should apply. All tuition fees, accommodation and some subsistence costs will be covered for participants. Generous support will be available for international travel.
Participants on this course must be available to join the subsequent Marriage of Figaro workshop.
Audition requirements: 3 contrasting songs and/or arias, one of which must either be by Berlioz or be a French opera aria, totalling no more than 10 minutes.
There will be a concert performance on 20 April as part of the Aldeburgh Easter Festival.
