On the two first sessions, Frederik Neyrinck worked on a new orchestra piece. The third session was focused on his opera project with author Sabryna Pierre, L’Inconnue de la Seine.

During his stay he had the opportunity to attend in-house concerts, meet with the production orchestra team and exchange with a mentor from the Composition Department of the Escola Superior de Musica de Lisboa.

The Residency included activities at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa such as masterclasses with students on Frederik’s work, lectures and debates.

A young Portuguese composer from the ESML was invited to join this residency, especially on orchestral sessions.
