Šimon Voseček studied at the Prague Conservatory and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. His compositions are performed across Europe, USA, Japan, and the UK.
His opera Biedermann und die Brandstifter was awarded with the ‘Upcoming Artist Award’ of the Republic Austria (2005-2007) and shown in Vienna, Bolzano, Italy, London and Germany. In April 2019, his new opera Menschenfresser will premiere in Avignon, France.
