Vocal workshop

Eytan Pessen is an outstanding musician and teacher, who has worked among others as a coach and pianist for the Metropolitan Opera Young Artist’s Programme, the Oper Frankfurt, Scuola d’Opera in Bologna, Theaterakademie in Munich and the San Francisco Opera. Former casting director of the opera in Stuttgart and opera director of the Semperoper Dresden, he is now co-operating with various institutions, being – among others – the artistic consultant to the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.

Izabella Kłosińska is a one of the leading Polish sopranos and a well renowned and one of most beloved Polish vocal teachers, still herself performing a lot. With bright personality and practical advice based on longstanding experience, she has the unique ability to open young singers for new ways of working with their voice.

In frames of these workshops also a series of individual lessons with Paola Larini, the highly acclaimed Italian language coach are planned, as well as individual meetings and group classes with Rebecca Meitlis, the Feldenkrais Practitioner with broad experience and unique ability of helping the singers better understand their bodies and souls, improving their freedom in working on vocal techniques.

The first two days of the workshops are mainly dedicated only to workshops with Bernd Loebe, the general director of Oper Franfukrt, one of leading personalities in the opera life of today’s Europe. He will share his experience with the participants, giving advise on career planning, the correct ways of presenting yourself on audtitions, ways of co-operating with artist agencies and engaging institutions and generally finding your way in practical aspects of your professional life.
