Cecilia Foletti was born in Lugano (Italy) in 1945. She graduated in Romance Philology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), which obtained a doctorate with the publication of the critical edition of Le sette armi spirituali, Caterina Vegri autobiography, mystical XV Century of Bologna. She was moving to Brussels where she worked as a translator for the CEE and continued her research on the mystical. Later she moved to Madrid and attend courses in Spanish Literature of Golden Age in the Complutense University. She translates to the Ministries of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Editorial Anaya. Interested in Italian and Spanish literature from the Baroque Times, the combines with the teaching of Italian language. Currently, she is Professor of Italian phonetics at the School of Music Reina Sofía.
