Le Furieux

Jane Dickson, Claire Pasquier

"Aujourd’hui, je repense à cette vie de fuite et de poussière, à cette vie d’essoufflé que j’ai menée, sans jamais pouvoir m’installer nulle part car partout où j’allais des hommes prenaient les armes pour me combattre et me chasser, je repense à cette vie qui ressemble à la longue charge d’un taureau."

Le Furieux is a participatory musical performance freely inspired from the monologue Onysos le furieux by Laurent Gaudé and developed by the collective La Meute

As Laurent Gaudé's character, Le Furieux is an initiatory journey exploring the relationship between the group and the individual and questioning the figure of the stranger.

On a concept and a dramaturgy by Claire Pasquier, Jane Dickson proposes the bases of an original composition: live electronic music is used to amplify and subtly prolong voice, breath and movement, like an augmented sound reality.

Artists of the collective La Meute and participants co-create Le Furieux on stage, inspired by an “augmented score” which evolved throughout the opera representation. The creation of the score is partly done with the participants. The proposal of each group is unique, and the opera is reinvented each time.

The creative team developed the first phase of this participatory project at the TalentLAB 2019, organised by the Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg.
